Michaels Haul!! Additional 90% off the lowest tagged clearance price!!

Good Evening everyone,

Today I did major damage at Michaels. I even called for intervention from my wonderful husband. I sent him this picture and asked him to come and get me before I got into major trouble.

Apparently he thought I would be ok in a store full of red tagged clearance stuff that was an additional 90% off. This sale applied to every red tagged clearance item. Boy oh boy it was like Black Friday in January at Michaels.

I got some really great deals everyone now here is the real question, did I need any of these things, maybe, maybe not. Will I use everything I purchased, probably. But I know this for sure, I am taking a much needed vacation for shopping and going to spend quality time creating!

So the goods I got nothing cost over $2 and most was honestly between .7 cents and .49 cents. Everything pictured was an additional 90% off. Enjoy the photos and I will try to list prices with the pictures. If you have a Michaels near you I encourage you to go out and look for the deals!

Goodnight and don't forget to comment on the bargains you find!

The DCWV paper stacks and all the other brands were .80 cents each. The ribbon adhesive were .30 cents each, most of the odds and ends were .40 cents or less. All of the punches were .50 cents.

The ink pads were .30 cents, the pogo adhesive was .40 and the other adhesive was .30, the paper trimmer was the most expensive thing I got at $2 with the refills costing .25 cents and the washi tape cost .25 cents for a package of 2.

The markers were .40, the magnetic strip with containers was .30, the adhesive runner and refills were .50 and .25 cents, the punches were .50 cents the versa mark was .80 cents.

Good Friday Bloggers!

Today I got together with some friends and guess what we did? Painted on canvas and boy was it fun! This was so relaxing and I truly did enjoy myself today. Guys I think I may have found something else to indulge in besides paper! This painting was inspired from a piece on the www.corkscrewsandcanvas.com

website. I purchased the canvas and acrylic paint from Michaels. All you need is some brushes and a hand blow dryer to dry your painting in between coats. Now, I am no picasso but it's mines and I love it. Can't wait to proudly display it in my home.

Thanks for looking and as always your comments are appreciated!

New Puppy and Tortoise

Guess what guys? I spent the entire weekend shopping for a puppy. My family has been wanting one for a while now and since my son has been sick with the flu and strep throat, I thought now was as good as time as ever. So our search began. We did some research on several different breeds of small statued puppies, then we went and visited a few. We finally narrowed our choice down and settled on a pure breed Havanese puppy.

My son fell in love with this breed at first sight. Here is a picture of him, isn't he the cutest thing you have ever seen?

Now of course we could not leave my daughter out of the pet business. She had her eyes on a tortoise so off to pet smart we go. She came home with this little reptile.

Hopefully we won't be adding any new additions to our family any time soon. Look out guys for new puppy and tortoise layouts soon!

Thanks for stopping bye and have a wonderful work week!

Bye the way, I still have not heard from Shelly who won the goodies from my giveaway. If anyone knows Shelly please have her contact me ASAP.

Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a crafty new year!! What's on everyones new years resolution? I am hoping I will be able to keep mines. Other than being more obedient in my walk with Christ, I made some crafty resolutions as well. This year I sincerely hope to get current with my scrapbooks. I have decided to focus only on finishing my books. We shall see how well this goes. After all of the Christmas projects were done I was left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. My room was a complete disaster area and I felt as if I had lost my love for crafting. But thanks to some wonderful ladies on the Cricut message board I am back and here to stay!!! My craftroom is getting a much needed makeover and I am so excited to get back to what I really love, documenting my family's history.

Making scrapbooks is more than doing projects to me. For me, it shows a part of my character, a part of who I am. When I was a child our house caught fire. My parents lost everything. I have not one picture of me as an infant to share with my children. It is my hopes and dreams that my children will share the books with their children one day. Last year my family suffered many losses. We lost my grandmother, 2 uncles and one aunt. The heavens rejoiced because they were good, kind and loving individuals. When I look back at their lives I wanted something to hold on too. More valuable than money. Looking back reminded me how important it is to scrapbook. My children will see a part of me each and every time they look at my books. They will read my handwriting, hear my thoughts and remember my creativity.

I do enjoy making projects with vinyl but for now, my main focus will be to get caught up with my books.

Thanks to all of my wonderful followers and happy New Year!!
